Sketchbook Pages From Daily Life
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today I’m flipping through a sketchbook that really shows the shift of the season, from drawing outdoors to spending more time inside.
This sketchbook really feels like a visual diary, with everyday moments, quick sketches, café drawings, time spent in the forest, and lots of experimenting along the way.
In this sketchbook I played a lot with negative spaces, starting with colorful washes and then drawing the shapes around things instead of the things themselves. I share how that helps me get started, stay loose, and have more fun on the page.
I've made a few videos about that, and I'm sharing the links below.
I've been exploring materials, limited tools, drawing on the go, and I noticed how your sketchbook naturally changes with your mood, time, and the season.
This sketchbook contains pages filled at home, in cafés, in the woods, at the theater, during live mini workshops, and while sketching with friends and family.
