Sketching a Tropical Beach
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
In this last Draw Tip Tuesday video of the year, I am sharing a piece of my Patreon content for free.
I filmed this drawing session a while ago in Thailand, sketching a beach view.
The scene felt a bit overwhelming at first, so I started with my brush pen to keep things loose and organic. From there I added figures, palm trees, texture, and color.
I love small discoveries along the way, like how a surprise dry brush effect effect when my ink runs out, how wax crayons resist watercolors, and how layering greens brings the jungle in my drawing to life.
This is a process video where I follow my intuition and flow, switch between tools, and just have fun of the page. It's the kind of behind the scenes drawing time I share on Patreon, where you can try 7 days for free!
