I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

Why
If you like my Draw Tip Tuesday videos, you might like to hang out and draw with me live.
What
We'll meet on Zoom to draw together. I will prepare instruction and an assignment for us all to work at during the hour.
We'll talk about the creative process, about art supplies, but also about random stuff that will come up. Together we'll be celebrating creativity!
Since we're all in different time zones, this could be your creative coffee break, lunch, or evening session. Bring your own drinks and snacks if you like, but most important: your sketchbook and art supplies.
You'll also get the recording of the session in case you miss the live session or if you'd like to watch it again in your own time.

Why
People are part of life around us, so when including them to your drawings, you’re telling a stronger story, as the viewer can relate even more to what they see. It'll bring your sketchbook to life! Many artists fear drawing people. Our minds worry about likeness, proportions and features. It’s a challenge to choose the right subject and capture them quickly while they pass by, or are in conversation.
What
I’ve gained confidence about my skills by practicing a lot. Now, I want to help you overcome these obstacles and take the fear away. Together, we can develop your creative courage and make capturing people in your sketchbook a fun and playful experience! I'll give you encouraging tips, techniques, and exercises to help you loosen up and embrace the process.
It’ll be fun!

Why
The perfect vacation: a spontaneous and fun travel experience while nurturing your creativity.
Together we will enjoy capturing our adventures in our travel sketchbooks. There will be lots of laughter (pretty much guaranteed), exciting expeditions, relaxing times, and you'll make friends.
What
During this leisurely paced, small-group vacation, you’ll find the perfect balance of lively Barcelona and the enchanting Costa Brava off-the-beaten path.
I will lead a daily, on-site class inspired by the places we visit. Using drawing, watercolor, mark making, and maybe even collage with emphemera collected during the trip, your sketchbook will capture people, places, and moments experienced along the way.
Each page will be rich with vivid memories of your travels.

Paris, France
Why
A filled sketchbook is a memento unlike any other. Sketchbooks are intimate and personal and carry the power to bring you back to that moment and all its sensual detail instantly. You think: I wish I could do that. Well, now you can!
What
Our goal is simple: to fill a sketchbook in a week. You'll love learning new ways to capture your life in your pages.
Learn from three expert artists: Cynthia Morris, Marcus McAllister and me.
Every day, we’ll meet for workshops on different elements of keeping a travel sketchbook. Beyond drawing or sketching, we will show you how to combine words and images to bring your Paris experience to life in your pages.
Alongside a group of new creative friends, you will have a ton of fun learning and exploring. You’ll get instruction and inspiration from three different teachers.
By the end of the week, you’ll have gained confidence in your style and will love seeing your full, vibrant sketchbook pages.
And if you want more: deepen your skills and style in “Sharpen Your Creative Edge” (see below).
