How I Drew This Bike Without Drawing It
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
When a subject feels too complex to draw, try looking at the shapes around it instead.
In this week’s Draw Tip Tuesday, I use negative space to sketch a bicycle from a photo I took in Italy. It's a playful, practical technique that can really change the way you draw, shift perspective and improve accuracy.
As a result, I am having lots of fun finding my way through the shapes, and I end up with a sketch that not only captures the subject but also brings back great memories of that workshop week.
If you'd like to make new creative memories yourself, join me in Paris for a sketching adventure!
