Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

What if you love drawing but have no idea what to draw?

Many people get stuck because they think their subject has to be important or impressive. The truth is, it really does not matter what you draw. What matters is that you draw.

In this session I filled a sketchbook page with everyday objects from my bag. These items are not special, but once you start drawing them they become interesting. Each line adds to your personal story. I also share how I use shadows, color harmony, and lettering to bring life and energy to the page.

Materials I used

  • Pink Pig sketchbook, size A5

  • Sailor Fude fountain pen (55° nib) with Platinum Carbon Black ink

  • Daniel Smith watercolors

  • Pentel Aquash waterbrush
