Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

Life Gets Messy (Draw It Anyway)

Life Gets Messy (Draw It Anyway)

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

This week's video is a sketchbook tour of my B5 Boesner sketchbook, filled in February and March.

You'll see pages from my daily life, and travel moments. Experiments with gouache, watercolor, collage, and some drawing with my non-dominant hand. I've combined different materials, captured memories on the go, and kept drawing, even during a creative funk.

Winter in The Netherlands, then sunshine in Gran Canaria and more, this sketchbook has a mix of everything: people, places, playful studies, and personal notes.

I hope it inspires you to fill your own sketchbook with honest, imperfect, joyful pages.

This week's assignment

Draw a moment from your day. Big or small: your morning coffee, something you saw outside, or a cozy corner at home.

  • Draw it in your sketchbook.

  • Add a little color if you like.

  • Write a few words about the moment next to it.

That’s it! One real moment, one small drawing.
Try it a few days in a row and see what happens.
